Ms. Pornprapai Ganjanarintr, Chairperson of the NHRCT, opened the 20th SEANF Annual Conference in 2023, reflecting on SEANF’s role as a crucial platform for regional collaboration and urging members to strengthen the network in light of the 30th anniversary of the Paris Principles.
Key conference topics included the implementation of SEANF’s Strategic Plan, collaboration with AICHR, and proposals for a regional framework addressing climate change and human rights. A highlight of the conference was the co-hosted “Regional Consultation on the Human Rights Impacts of Drug Policies,” which focused on the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
