The Southeast Asia National Human Rights Institutions Forum (SEANF) convened its second Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting of 2017 in Cebu City, Philippines from 7-8 September, hosted by the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines (CHRP).

  • Greenpeace presented groundbreaking updates on the world’s first national human rights investigation into climate change impacts
  • Case targets 47 major carbon producers (Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, etc.) for accountability
  • SEANF members endorsed stronger action to:
    • Protect climate-vulnerable communities
    • Hold polluters accountable
    • Enhance international cooperation
