During the 18th SEANF Annual Conference in 2021, Chairperson Mr. Othman Hashim welcomed all SEANF members and conveyed condolences on behalf of SEANF to the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines (CHRP) for the passing of their Chairperson, Mr. Jose Luis Martin “Chito” Gascon. He emphasized that SEANF’s strength lies in the collective dedication, capacity, and expertise of its members in advancing and protecting human rights in the region.
- Co-organizing a Regional Conference on Prison Reform, led by SUHAKAM with SEANF members and support from the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
- Receiving formal recognition from the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) as a regional partner.
- Developing the SEANF Strategic Plan 2022–2026 through a transparent and inclusive process.
