The Southeast Asia National Human Rights Institutions Forum (SEANF) convened a dual meeting in Yangon from 1-3 June 2016, hosted by Myanmar’s MNHRC. All member institutions participated: Indonesia (Komnas HAM), Malaysia (SUHAKAM), Myanmar (MNHRC), Philippines (CHRP), Thailand (NHRCT), and Timor-Leste (PDHJ).
Key Outcomes:
1. Strategic Plan 2017-2022 Development
- Komnas HAM presented the draft Strategic Plan (sections D-M)
- Members agreed to submit country-specific inputs (sections A-C) by 3 July 2016
- Komnas HAM to consolidate feedback and circulate revised draft within two weeks
- Final review scheduled for 23-24 August 2016 in Jakarta
- Plan for adoption at 2016 Annual Meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

- Members to provide national context inputs by 3 July
